Minori really is very charming, with its houses perched on the rocks around a small beach. It offers splendid views and a rich cultural tradition. Due to its ideal position, it was chosen by ancient Romans as a place of ‘otium’ as we can see today from the remains of a roman villa, dating back to the 1st century.
The villa is very grand, its 2500 square meters contain perfectly preserved structures and baths with delicate frescoes on the walls. Important artifacts can be seen in the small museum on the site.
Minori is also famous for its beach holidays and has the reputation of the best town on the coast for gastronomy, in fact, Minori was once the seat of the best pasta makers in the area.
